DOI minting on Nextjournal

Digital Object Identifiers are persistent handles used to uniquely identify and assign metadata to digital objects. They enable creation of a persistent reference to published digital information even when metadata or location of that digital object may change.

It is possible to mint DOIs for content created on Nextjournal. Nextjournal is the first platform to enable DOI minting for computational environments.

Nexjournal DOIs

Nextjournal DOIs will be assigned after we have verified that your article is computationally reproducible and has passed appropriate peer review (if applicable). Please reach out to us if you would like to create a DOI for your Nextjournal content.

Nextjournal DOIs consist of the prefix 10.33016/nextjournal
