Empty Calories

Reading LLM-generated text is like being fed huge amounts of empty calories in order to receive a tiny fraction of nutrition. Generative AI texts can’t get to the point and everything is either "load-bearing" or at least an "oracle". I consume thousands of characters and come away with all the nourishment of the menu card.

Making an LLM write with substance takes work. Making it write with pleasure takes more. Brevity is the first discipline I try to teach my AI agents, and the first one they forget.

I have never read so many words while being so starved for dense food for thought.
